Entrepreneur
Alfonso's entrepreneurial endeavours began at the tender age of 16 when he became a paper boy for the Calgary Herald, work he performed for two years.
While employed as a free-lance translator and interpreter throughout university, he was also lab instructor and teacher-assistant for French & Spanish courses.
Upon completion of his university studies he pursued other entrepreneurial interests, while flanking these activities with a regular 9-5 employment. Following is a record of these accomplishments:
- 2004-Present: Bilingual Technical Analyst for HP Canada.
- 1999-Present: Wholesaler of Mexican and Chinese Imports to and from Canada and Mexico.
- 1999-2003: Freelance Spanish/English Translator for The European Translation Unit based in Copenhaguen.
- 1998-2004: Bilingual Technical Analyst for The Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce.
- 1997: Completed authorship of publication titled "Breaking into the bilingual job market in Canada"
- 1994-1998: Bilingual Point-of-Sale Analyst for the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce.
- 1991-1992: Bilingual Network Analyst for Catalina Marketing Inc.
